Ready to build the bike of your dreams with this beautiful Vintage frame and fork Locomotief Amsterdam Tour de France steel late 60s rare hand made in Holland.Locomotief is the brand of the brothers Jan, Theo and Bertus Slesker from Amsterdam. Jan and Theo did the shopping, Bertus did the art and built the frames. The shop was in the center of Amsterdam. Cycling construction happened in several buildings in the neighborhood. In 1945 the shop was taken over by Jan jr. And they started to concentrate more on manufacturing of racing bikes and custom frames. Piet van Ierlant was engaged in the locomotive racing team. Locomotief Team was a household name in the 50s.In 1968 VNR was annexed by Gazelle. Gazelle also wanted to embark on the road bike market and allowed the expertise and craftsmanship of Bertus Slesker taking good use at. The Gazelle Champion Mondial frames you can still see clearly the hand of the master.
Condition:
Some spots of use paintchips on the frame and scratches as I displayed on the pictures. No dents and no cracks. See all the pictures and judge for yourself.
